Grand Rapids Sub Trains

Z151 - Called for 0600 Monday , Wednesday, Friday. The train will frequently make stops in White Cloud, Newago, Grant, Kent City, Sparta, Alpine, Comstock Park, and Walker before interchanging with CSX in Wyoming Yard.
Sparta Local - Called for 1400 out of Sparta. If demand increaces, this train may be used to reduce the short work load of the Z151. This train was called once in 2008, and for about a week in May of 2009.
Orginally the Z train was scheduled for Su - Fri nights, schedule was adjusted to Su, Mo, We, Fri January 2008, and further reduced to Mo, We, Fri during the summer of 2008. Starting June 15, 2009 MQT adjusted its operating practice to run the Z job during the day in response to CSX closing Wyoming Yard during third shift.
